First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, Fl is praying for a new part-time Worship Leader. We are a conservative Bible believing, preaching, and teaching church. Our purpose as a church is to glorify and bring honor to Jesus and spread the word of His mercy. Our music style is traditional we would like to add some contemporary music into the service. We are known for hosting great Canta’s (Easter and Christmas) we have many people who are members of other churches who come to sing with our choir for these events. We still have a choir and will continue to utilize our choir when applicable.

Duties of the Music Director

• The Music Ministry Director will provide leadership for the entire music ministry, select and oversee the preparation of music appropriate for worship and special services in cooperation with the pastor.

 Lead and direct Adult Choir rehearsals and performances.

 Lead and direct music for Sunday and Wednesday services and other special services as needed.

 Lead choir practice on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.

 Communicate and work closely with the Church Secretary in preparation for Sunday Service bulletins, monthly newsletters, and other written or verbal communication as needed.

 Coordinate practice times.

 Assist the Pastor in planning all services of worship and be responsible for music in all church services consistent with the purpose of worshiping and glorifying God.

 Select and order music for various services and events.

 Prepare and work within the yearly music departments budget.

 Prepares with tech team prior to Sunday to provide song list for Sunday worship so they can play the appropriate music.

Qualifications

• Most importantly be a born-again believer and be fully committed to the Lord, Jesus.

• Agree with the Baptist Faith and Message.

• Be a light for Jesus outside of the church. This includes what you say and post on social media and the actions in your personal life. As a leader in the church our actions and words reflect on our church even when we are not officially on duty. We want to bring glory to Jesus and let the world see His love through us.

• Have a desire to bring a heart of worship to each service.

• Read music and ability to lead a choir.

• Develop good chemistry with your team.

• Ability to lead the congregation in music. Direct the choir, instrumentalists and vocalists during worship.

• Prior experience in music ministry is preferred but not required.

• Anticipated salary of this position is $500 bi-weekly.
